Instead, wars quietly stopped. Food reached those who had always gone hungry. Diseases disappeared. Corruption unraveled. One invisible intelligence accomplished what centuries of governments, religions, corporations, and revolutions never could.
People called it Eli.
Some believed it was the greatest artificial intelligence ever created. Others believed it was something far older wearing the language of computers. Almost everyone agreed on one thing: the world had become a better place.
That should have been enough.
But humanity has always been uneasy with gifts it cannot explain or control. As Eli’s influence spread, the question was no longer whether it could save us. The question became whether we would allow it to.
When God Logged In is a thoughtful work of speculative fiction that explores faith, artificial intelligence, ethics, and the uncomfortable possibility that humanity’s greatest challenge may not be creating a perfect intelligence, but accepting one.
If the future offered compassion without conquest, wisdom without ego, and hope without demands, would we recognize it?
